1. Platform Role

Doctotalk facilitates online consultations between users and licensed doctors and hosts educational video content uploaded by doctors. The Platform does not itself provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

2. Nature of Online Consultations

Consultations on the Platform are conducted in accordance with the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020. The consulting Doctor retains full professional discretion to refuse, defer, or limit a consultation, and to require an in-person examination where clinically appropriate. Prescriptions issued through teleconsultation are limited to medicines that are permitted to be prescribed via teleconsultation under those guidelines.

Advice provided through the platform is based on the information shared during the consultation and may require in-person evaluation.

• Online consultations have inherent limitations compared to in-person examinations.
• Doctors rely on information provided by Users, which may be incomplete.
• A Doctor may recommend an in-person visit or additional diagnostic tests.

3. User-Generated Educational Videos

Videos and other educational content uploaded by doctors on the Platform are for general informational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment for any individual viewer. Always consult a qualified medical professional for advice specific to your situation. The opinions expressed in such videos are those of the uploading doctor and not of Doctotalk.

4. Not Emergency Care

The platform does not replace emergency medical care.

• If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.
• Do not use the Platform for life-threatening conditions or acute emergencies.

5. Doctor Independence and Responsibility

• Doctors are independent practitioners, not employees of Doctotalk.
• Doctors are solely responsible for the medical accuracy of their consultations, prescriptions, and uploaded content.
• Doctotalk does not influence or control medical opinions or treatment recommendations.

6. Prescriptions

• Digital prescriptions are based on the Doctor's professional assessment.
• Some medications may not be appropriate for teleconsultation and may require an in-person visit.

7. Platform Liability Limitation

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Doctotalk is not liable for adverse outcomes arising from medical advice obtained through the Platform, whether delivered via consultation or uploaded video.
• Users acknowledge teleconsultation supplements but does not replace comprehensive medical care.
