Community Guidelines

1. Who these guidelines apply to

These guidelines apply to everyone using Doctotalk — patients, doctors, and administrators — and to every piece of content posted on the Platform: videos, captions, chat messages, profile information, and reviews.

2. What we expect from you

• Treat every other user — patient, doctor, or staff — with respect.
• Provide accurate information about yourself and your medical situation.
• Use the Platform only for lawful purposes.
• Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent your qualifications.

3. Zero-tolerance content

The following will be removed on detection and may lead to immediate account suspension or permanent removal:

• Medical misinformation that could endanger life or health.
• Harassment, threats, hate speech, or content targeting a protected group.
• Sexually explicit material, nudity outside of legitimate clinical context, or any content that endangers minors.
• Content promoting self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders.
• Sharing personally identifying information about another user without consent.
• Spam, scams, phishing, or coordinated inauthentic behaviour.

4. Reporting and blocking

Every video, doctor profile, and chat thread has a Report action. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team within 24 hours. You may also Block any doctor from their profile or video — blocked doctors will not appear in your feed, search results, or recommendations.

5. Enforcement

Violations are tracked per account. Repeated or severe violations escalate through a Warning → Temporary Suspension → Permanent Removal ladder, with serious violations going straight to permanent removal. Details are in the Doctor Content Rules.
