Doctor Content Rules
Effective Date: May 2026
DRAFT — pending legal review
1. Applies to every doctor
These rules apply to every doctor on Doctotalk, every time you upload a video, send a chat message, write a prescription, or update your profile. By registering as a doctor on the Platform you confirm you have read and accept these rules. Your acceptance is recorded with a timestamp on your account.
2. Your responsibilities
- You are solely responsible for the content you upload or transmit on the Platform.
- You will only upload content created by you, or content you have written permission to use.
- You will not include personally identifying information about a patient or any third party in your videos or captions without their explicit consent.
- You will follow the Medical Content Policy and the Community Guidelines at all times.
- You will not use the Platform to advertise prescription-only medication to the general public or to promote services outside the Platform in violation of the Terms.
3. What we'll do
- We screen uploaded videos with automated tools (caption blocklist, optional AI moderation) before they go live.
- We respond to reports against your content within 24 hours.
- We will notify you by email when your content is flagged, held for review, removed, or restored, and the reason.
4. Strikes and progressive enforcement
We use a transparent strike system:
- Warning: issued for a first-time minor violation. Recorded against your account.
- Temporary suspension: automatic after 3 warnings within a 90-day window. While suspended, you cannot upload new videos, go live, or appear in patient discovery. You can still finish consultations already in progress, access chat with existing patients, and access your wallet.
- Permanent suspension: automatic after 2 temporary suspensions within a 180-day window, or immediately for severe violations.
You will be notified by email and in-app at each step, with the reason and (where applicable) the appeal process.
5. Appeals
Reply to the enforcement notification email or open a support ticket. Appeals are reviewed by a different moderator than the one who took the original action. Decisions on permanent suspensions are reviewed by a senior moderator before they are issued.
6. Removal and takedown
Doctotalk reserves the right to remove, hide, or restrict access to any content you upload, at our sole discretion, where we believe it violates these rules, the Terms, applicable law, or any third-party rights. In serious cases we may take down content immediately and discuss the reason after the fact.
